of this land we recognize an ongoing stewardship that was given to us by
the creator. To honor this trust is most difficult unless we first honor
the family circle. We can do this only by bringing the Grandmothers and
Grandfathers back together with the children so the wisdom of the elders
is not lost. We need to respect and understand the unique relationship
women have as nurturers and lifegivers and honor those men that truly struggle
to protect and provide for us. As we walk across this land in prayer we
visited with many people discussing ways to mend the circle of the family
for it will take all of our efforts to bring about this healing."
